Job description
The overall purpose to the job is to design, modify, plan the network, install and configure, monitor and troubleshoot the network infrastructure for the hospital.
Responsibility
1. Plans, recommends, and assists in the design of local or remote computer systems, oversees the day-to-day operation of the computer networks including LAN-to-LAN/WAN systems and evaluates systems performance and recommends solutions
2. Network Device Configuration, Management, and Backup: Ensure consistent baseline configurations, manage all network devices, and maintain backups for swift restoration when needed.
3. Network Security: Configure, manage, backup and monitor Network Firewalls, Network Access Control, Logs and implement Network security Policy.
4. Provides technical assistance and support to M.P Shah’s users of the Local Area Network, Wide Area Network and the Intranet / Internet by selecting and installing bridges, routers, switches, hubs and related equipment that support various networking protocols
5. Establishes, manages and administers the hospital’s ICT security policy and procedures to ensure preventive and recovery strategies are in place and minimize the risk of internal and external security threats
6. Analyse and resolve network infrastructure issues in a timely and accurate fashion and holds responsibility for monitoring the performance and availability of key infrastructure components such as the Wide Area Network, LAN, Internet
7. Serves as a primary contact with networking service providers and customers, and plays a key role in negotiating and developing plans for future services; keeps abreast of new hardware or software products for system enhancements
8. Escalate and then coordinate Issues and problems to external third-party support and ensure that all service level agreements (SLAs) for infrastructure support services across the organization are delivered according to specifications.
9. Configure, Manage, backup Enterprise Wireless Network
Key Performance Indicators
• IT Support SLA compliance (the duration taken to resolve it Network and Security support issues)
• Number Network performance and capacity issues.
• Updated documentation for internal networks including branches

• Regulator Backup, Update and maintain network devices
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information communication and technology or a related field
• Cisco professional certification
• 2 (two) years experience in experience in Information Technology with hands on experience in LAN, WAN and Wireless networks
