Job description

To assist the Dentist in performing treatment to the patient in restorative dentistry or oral surgery

Responsibility

1. Dental Administration: Assist the dentist in the administration of treatment at the dental chair side as required by the dentist.
2. Infection Control: Maintain a sterile and neat working environment according to current infection control procedures
3. Documentation: Document dental care services by maintaining patient’s records
4. Provide materials by selecting, mixing and placing materials on instruments and on patient’s mouth
5. Help the dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR Certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply.
6. Provide postoperative instructions as directed by the dentist, dental hygiene, oral health care, and plaque control programs to patients
7. Documentatin -Document lab procedures and ensure follow up on results and record treatment information in patient records

Qualifications

•Diploma in Community Oral Health
•A minimum 0-2 years’ experience in a dental clinic
